1. About Iris

Iris is a desktop RSS reader application ("the Software") developed by Andrew Cousineau, an independent developer based in Ontario, Canada ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using Iris, you agree to these terms.

2. License

Iris is distributed as freemium software:

A purchased license is for individual use by a single person. You may install and activate the Software on multiple devices you own (e.g. desktop and laptop) under the same license. The license may not be resold, shared with other people, or transferred. We reserve the right to revoke licenses obtained fraudulently.

The free tier lets you evaluate the Software fully before purchasing. If you are not satisfied with your license purchase, contact us within 14 days at support@irisreader.app for a refund.

5. No warranties

The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will parse every RSS feed correctly. RSS feeds are controlled by third parties and may change without notice.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Software. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Software license.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

8. Updates

These terms may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
